Anxiety Treatment For Teens
Between juggling busy schedules, academic demands, trying to fit in socially and the added layer of social media there must be time for self care and rest. I can help.
Our Teens are Stressed
Our Teens are Stressed
Anxiety in teens can show up in a variety of ways. You may notice that your teen is more tearful, irritable, angry or lashes out toward you in a way they never have before. You may notice a change in sleep patterns, eating patterns or avoidance of homework, waiting until the last minute to get assessments done and extended time spend on social media. During sessions with me, I can help fill your teen's tool box with strategies to help immediately with a focus on improving self talk, taking a break from stressful triggers and strengthening their ability to communicate with loved ones.
There is Hope
During our therapy sessions, I will lead your teen on a path toward understanding and managing his or her anxiety. Therapy provides a safe space for teens to explore the root cause of anxiety; whether it stems from external stressors, internal pressures, or past experiences. Through evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, your teen can learn effective coping strategies to challenge negative thought patterns and regulate emotions. Therapy can also equip your teens with invaluable skills for communication, assertiveness, and self-care, while empowering him or her to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience. With therapeutic guidance and support, your teen can cultivate hope for a brighter future where anxiety no longer holds them back from living their fullest lives.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a treatment modality that can help individuals of all ages work to identify and heal negative thoughts that promote symptoms of depression and anxiety. Through age appropriate interventions tailored to each child’s individual needs, therapy can assist in identifying specific thought patterns and work to support a more positive outlook.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy is a treatment modality meant to assist the individual in looking toward the future instead of dwelling on the past. Through a system of therapeutic exercises, clients can be led on a path of self empowerment, goal setting and creating a sense of hope for the future.
Mindfulness refers to a variety of skills meant to assist the mind and body to slow down, reconnect and refresh during times of stress. In our busy world, mindfulness can be a very powerful tool in reducing anxiety symptoms and promoting rest and a sense of wellness.
